Hall of the Mountain King is the fourth studio album by the American band Savatage, released on 28 September 1987 on Atlantic. It was the first record made with producer Paul O'Neill, who joined the band after the tour for Fight for the Rock, and his influence nudged them towards the conceptual approach they would follow from here on. It also marked the first sleeve painted by Gary Smith, the artist behind guitarist Criss Oliva's airbrushed guitars.

The opener, "Prelude to Madness", reworks Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King", with keyboards and guitar also quoting Holst's "Mars, the Bringer of War". Grieg is credited instead on the title track, an original song. Trans-Siberian Orchestra later recorded the prelude again as "The Mountain" for Night Castle in 2009. The album reached No. 116 on the US Billboard 200, and Metal Hammer placed it eighth among power metal albums in 2019.
