White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean
White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean is NOFX's fourth studio album, released in November 1992 on Epitaph. It follows Liberal Animation, S&M Airlines and Ribbed, and it marks a few changes for the band. El Hefe joins on guitar for the first time, taking over from Steve Kidwiler, who left in 1991. It is also the first NOFX record not produced by Brett Gurewitz, who had overseen the first three.
The title is a nod to the band's mixed backgrounds: Erik Sandin as the white "trash", Fat Mike and Eric Melvin as the two Jews, and El Hefe as the Hispanic member. An earlier, blunter title was dropped after a band member's relative found it offensive. Fans of skate punk will hear a group settling into a new line-up, with Punk in Drublic still to come.
