Ribbed

Ribbed is the third studio album by the American punk band NOFX, released in March 1991 on Epitaph. It sits between the skate punk of S&M Airlines and the run that began with White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean, and it marks a changing of the guard. It was the last record to feature Steve Kidwiler on guitar, with El Hefe stepping in after him.

It was also the last NOFX album produced by Brett Gurewitz, who had overseen their first two Epitaph releases. That makes it the end of an era for the band's early sound, fast and hardcore-edged, with the melodic bite they were known for. It sold 8,000 copies on release, yet the band thought enough of it to play it in full in 2012. That show came out in 2018 as Ribbed: Live in a Dive, a good companion piece once you know the original.
