Summer Nationals
Summer Nationals is the third EP from the American punk rock band The Offspring, released digitally on 5 August 2014 through Time Bomb Recordings. It was put out to coincide with the Summer Nationals tour, which paired the band with Bad Religion, Pennywise, The Vandals, Stiff Little Fingers and Naked Raygun.
The record is a tip of the hat to two of their touring companions, collecting covers of songs by Bad Religion and Pennywise. It also marks a change of home: the EP was their first release away from Columbia since Smash in 1994. It sits between the albums Days Go By and Let the Bad Times Roll, and it's a neat snapshot of a band paying tribute to the peers it shared a stage with.
