Album
Restless and Wild
Restless and Wild is the fourth studio album by German heavy metal band Accept, released in October 1982. It followed Breaker and came just before Balls to the Wall, placing it at the point where the band's classic run was taking shape. The record came out in continental Europe first, with the US and UK release following in 1983.
Several things changed this time. Accept left Delta-Studio and recorded at Dieter Dierks' studio in Stommeln, with Michael Wagener again handling recording and mixing. It is also the first Accept album on which Udo Dirkschneider sings every track, and the first to credit their manager, Gaby Hauke, known as "Deaffy", for songwriting. For anyone tracing how the group's sound developed, it is a useful stop between their early albums and the records that followed.
