Power of the Damager
Power of the Damager is the seventh studio album by the American metal band Prong, released on 2 October 2007 through 13th Planet Records. It arrived four years after Scorpio Rising, which had marked the band's return to the studio, and it sits between that record and Carved Into Stone in the group's catalogue. The album reached No. 47 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
For anyone who came to Prong through their early 1990s records, this is a useful chapter to catch up on. It shows a band that kept working through the 2000s and found a home on a new label, with a sound rooted in heavy metal and rock. It is a good place to start if you want to hear how Prong sounded in the decade after their best-known albums.
