Mixxxes of the Molé
Mixxxes of the Molé is a remix album by Ministry, released in August 2010 on 13th Planet Records. It reworks material from Houses of the Molé, the band's 2004 studio record, and sits among the electronic and industrial metal releases that Al Jourgensen has put out under the Ministry name since forming the band in 1981.
It arrived in the middle of a busy stretch for the group. Cover Up came in 2008 and Undercover followed in 2010, so the remix set fits a period when Ministry were revisiting and reshaping songs as much as writing new ones. For anyone who knows the original album, it offers a chance to hear those tracks pushed further towards the electronic side of the band's sound.
