Album
The Last Sucker
The Last Sucker is the eleventh studio album by Ministry, released on 18 September 2007 through 13th Planet Records. It closes the band's anti-George W. Bush trilogy, following Houses of the Molé in 2004 and Rio Grande Blood in 2006, so it works as the final chapter of a politically charged run in their industrial metal catalogue.
The line-up brought together frontman Al Jourgensen, bassist Paul Raven, guitarists Tommy Victor and Sin Quirin, and keyboardist John Bechdel. Raven, Victor and Bechdel had worked together in the mid-1990s in Victor's band Prong, notably on their breakthrough album Cleansing. Raven died shortly after the record came out, which makes it one of his last studio appearances. It was also Ministry's last album of new material for several years before the band reformed in 2011.
