HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES
HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES is the sixteenth studio album by Ministry, the American industrial metal band, released on 1 March 2024 through Nuclear Blast. It arrived as the follow-up to Moral Hygiene from 2021, so it continues a run of records made in fairly quick succession, and it sits late in a catalogue that stretches back to With Sympathy in 1983.
The album also carries on one of the more interesting threads from its predecessor: a guest appearance from Jello Biafra, formerly of the Dead Kennedys. His presence on two Ministry records in a row suggests a working relationship that suits the band's abrasive, politically charged approach. For listeners who know Ministry from the early 1990s and want to hear where the band stands now, this is a natural place to catch up.
