Relapse
Relapse is the twelfth studio album by Ministry, released on 23 March 2012. It arrived after a three-year hiatus that ran from November 2008 to August 2011, and after Al Jourgensen's near-death experience in 2010. Its sound sits in industrial metal, with strong thrash leanings.
For anyone following the band's story, it marks a return to original material after the covers records Cover Up and Undercover. It is also the last Ministry album released in guitarist Mike Scaccia's lifetime. He did appear posthumously on the follow-up, From Beer to Eternity, but this is the final record to come out while he was alive. That gives it a particular weight for fans who remember his playing alongside Jourgensen.
