The Squirrely Years Revisited
The Squirrely Years Revisited sees Ministry returning to their earliest material, re-recording songs from their synth-pop days. The American industrial metal band draws on "Everyday Is Halloween", four tracks from With Sympathy and three from Twitch, giving the early catalogue a fresh pass. It came out on 28 March 2025 through Cleopatra Records.
In the band's story, it looks back to the years before The Land of Rape and Honey set them on the heavier path, and arrives between HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES and the later Hate to Go. It is worth hearing for the chance to compare the polished pop of the 1980s with how Ministry might sound playing it now. A video for the reworked "Everyday Is Halloween" appeared on YouTube three days after release, a good place to start.
