Nil Recurring is a four-track EP from British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, released on 17 September 2007 through the band's online store and also known as Transmission 5.1. It gathers material written during the sessions for Fear of a Blank Planet, finished over the summer of that year, so it works as a companion to that album rather than a separate chapter.

The title comes from the opening instrumental, which in turn nods to "Always Recurring", an unreleased demo from the same sessions. The band never put that song out, but pieces of its lyrics and melody resurface in the closing track, "What Happens Now?". That makes the EP a neat glimpse of ideas being reshaped as the album took form. It entered the UK Top 30 Independent Label Albums Chart at number eight, and it suits anyone who wants a little more from the Fear of a Blank Planet era.
