The Sky Moves Sideways is the third studio album by English progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, following Up the Downstair in 1993. It was the first of their records to be released in the US, and it arrived on Prog Rock Music in 1995, with the UK and European release on 30 January and the American one the following month.

The structure is the thing to listen for. Long pieces open and close the record, and they are two halves of a single song, an arrangement that has drawn comparisons with Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. If you like your prog rock tinged with space rock and built on a grand scale, this is the Porcupine Tree album that shows the band stretching out before Signify arrived in 1996.
