Staying a Life
Staying a Life is a double live album by Accept, released on 21 October 1990 through RCA. It was recorded in Osaka, Japan, in 1985, and Uli Baronowsky mixed it at Dierks Studios in Stommeln. A VHS release with the same title and cover art, drawn from live footage of the 1985–1986 world tour, appeared in the same year.
The record arrived shortly after the band's first breakup, so it works as a look back at the group at work in the mid-eighties, the period of Metal Heart. Fans of traditional heavy metal get a full concert rather than a highlights reel. A single-disc edition also exists, though it leaves out "Neon Nights", "Burning", "Head Over Heels" and "Outro (Bound to Fail)", so the double set is the one to find.
