Mortal Way of Live
Mortal Way of Live is a live album from the German thrash metal band Sodom, released through Roadrunner Records on 1 October 1988. It arrived with a US release the same year, and it is a snapshot of the band in concert during a busy stretch of their early career.
It sits between the studio albums Persecution Mania (1987) and Agent Orange (1989), so it catches Sodom after their first two records and just before the next full-length. One curiosity is the artwork. The original cover was censored for the CD edition, which instead carried an all-black sleeve with a white circle holding the band's logo and the album title. The uncensored image was moved to the back of the booklet. For anyone tracing how Sodom's thrash sounded on stage, it makes a useful stop.
