Album
Get What You Deserve
Get What You Deserve is the sixth studio album by the German thrash metal band Sodom, released on 10 January 1994 through Steamhammer/SPV. It follows Tapping the Vein from 1992 and comes just ahead of Masquerade in Blood in 1995.
It marks a changing of the guard. Guitarist Andy Brings plays on his final Sodom record here, while drummer Guido "Atomic Steif" Richter makes his debut, stepping in for founding member Christian "Witchhunter" Dudek. Musically, the band keep experimenting but turn away from the death metal leanings of its predecessor, opting for a crossover-flavoured approach while holding on to their thrash core. It's a worthwhile listen for anyone tracing how Sodom shifted shape through the early 1990s.
