EP
Lord of the Flies
Lord of the Flies is an EP from Melvins, released on 10 January 2022 through Amphetamine Reptile Records. It is filed under sludge metal, the heavy, slow-grinding style the band have long been associated with.
It arrived during a busy stretch for the group. It came after the albums Working With God and Five Legged Dog, both from 2021, and just ahead of Bad Mood Rising later in 2022. For anyone following the band's prolific run since their debut, Gluey Porch Treatments in 1987, it is a short stop along the way.
