Your Choice Live Series 012
Your Choice Live Series 012 is a live album by the Melvins, released in 1991 on Your Choice Records. It was recorded on 23 January 1991 at Oberhaus in Alzey, Germany, and sits in a label series devoted to live documents of touring bands.
For Melvins fans, the interest lies in a few details. It catches the band in the same year as their studio album Bullhead. It also includes "Tanked", an early live version of the song later released as "Wispy" on the Eggnog EP. Another song from the night, "It's Shoved", was left off this record and turned up later on the It's Your Choice compilation. It's a useful snapshot of the band's sludgy, heavy sound in front of a German crowd.
