Album
Hold It In
Hold It In is the Melvins' twentieth studio album, released on 14 October 2014 through Ipecac Recordings. It sits in a busy stretch of the band's career, arriving a year after Everybody Loves Sausages and Tres cabrones, and ahead of Three Men and a Baby in 2016.
The main draw is the line-up. Melvins stalwarts Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover are joined by two members of the Butthole Surfers, Paul Leary and Jeff Pinkus, which brings together two of the more gleefully awkward names in American alternative rock. The record sits in the alternative and experimental rock camp, and it's an easy one to reach for if you enjoy hearing the Melvins' sound pulled in a slightly different direction by new company.
