Eggnog
Eggnog is a short release from Melvins, the American sludge metal band, put out on Boner Records on 16 August 1991. It is an EP rather than a full album, and it sits in the stretch when the band were already several records into a long career that began with Gluey Porch Treatments in 1987.
It came out the same year as their studio album Bullhead, so it belongs alongside that record in the band's early-nineties story. Its sound sits in the territory of sludge metal, alternative metal and stoner rock, which makes it a handy side door into the heavy, slow-burning style Melvins are known for.
