Everybody Loves Sausages

Everybody Loves Sausages is a covers album from the Melvins, released on 30 April 2013 through Ipecac Recordings. Rather than simply running through other people's songs on their own, the band brought in guests for most of the tracks, a approach they had also taken on The Crybaby. Three tracks feature the Melvins Lite, the stripped-back version of the band.

It arrived between Freak Puke in 2012 and Tres cabrones later in 2013, and it gathers some material that had already appeared on splits. Black Betty was paired with a version by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion on a split 7-inch, while Female Trouble and Carpe Diem came out on a split 12-inch with Redd Kross. Ten of its songs were later spread across a nine-part 7-inch Tribute series on Amphetamine Reptile Records between 2013 and 2015, with seven of those singles adding bonus covers by the respective bands. A good pick for anyone who likes the Melvins at their most collaborative.
