Extended Play
Extended Play is a digital EP that Fleetwood Mac put out themselves on 30 April 2013, with no record company behind it. It arrived ten years after Say You Will, so it marked the band's first new music in a decade.
It sits at an interesting point in the story. Christine McVie played no part in it, which is also true of Say You Will, the only other studio work since their debut album that she missed. It was also the last studio material to feature Lindsey Buckingham before he left the band in 2018. Two of its songs, "Sad Angel" and "Without You", were played on the band's 2013 tour, so you can hear how they fitted into the live set. A small release, but a useful marker for anyone following the band's later years.
