The Dance
The Dance is a live album from Fleetwood Mac, released on 19 August 1997 by Reprise Records. It brought back the line-up most people picture when they think of the band: Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. The five had not made an album together since Tango in the Night in 1987, so it marked a reunion after a decade apart.
For anyone who loves the band's pop-rock and classic rock sound, it offers a chance to hear that celebrated five-piece back on stage together. It also did well commercially, becoming the first Fleetwood Mac release to top the US album chart since Mirage in 1982. It sits neatly between the studio records Time and Say You Will, and works as a welcome reminder of what the band could do as a unit.
