High Desert Overdose
High Desert Overdose is an EP from Melvins, released on 27 December 2016 through Amphetamine Reptile Records. It arrived at the end of a busy year for the band, which also saw the albums Three Men and a Baby and Basses Loaded.
For anyone following the Melvins' long run, which stretches back to Gluey Porch Treatments in 1987 and has rarely slowed since, this is a small side-step rather than a major statement. It's a short release that suits listeners who enjoy tracking the band's more scattered, off-the-main-road output, and it sits neatly just before A Walk with Love & Death in 2017.
