The Platinum Collection
The Platinum Collection is a compilation from Faith No More, issued in January 2006 by Warner Strategic Marketing United Kingdom. It gathers the band's work under a budget-minded banner, and its genre tags reflect how hard they were to pin down: alternative rock, funk metal, hard rock and alternative metal all apply.
It arrived between the end of the band's first run and their return, after six studio albums from We Care a Lot in 1985 to Album of the Year in 1997, and before Sol Invictus appeared in 2015. For anyone who wants a single-set overview of the group that made The Real Thing and Angel Dust, it offers a convenient way in.
