Epic and Other Hits
Epic and Other Hits is a Faith No More compilation, issued on 4 October 2005 by Flashback Records. It arrived at a quiet moment in the band's story: they had made six studio albums between 1985 and 1997, and the seventh, Sol Invictus, was still a decade away.
The title promises more than the tracklist delivers. Only a handful of the songs were genuine hits, and some of the band's other well-known singles are missing altogether. It works best as a quick introduction to their alternative metal sound rather than a definitive round-up, and a way into the fuller albums for anyone who knows little beyond the title track.
