Dark Ages is the fifth studio album from Soulfly, the American heavy metal band whose catalogue stretches from their 1998 self-titled debut to Chama in 2025. It came out in October 2005 on Moon Records, a year after Prophecy, and sits in the middle of that run, between the early run of Primitive and 3 and the later records such as Conquer, Omen and Enslaved.

The record draws on thrash metal and alternative metal, with a wider heavy metal and rock foundation underneath. That mix is the band's trademark, and Dark Ages is a good place to hear it at the point where Soulfly were settling into a steady release pace. It makes sense for anyone tracing the band's story album by album, or for fans who want to fill in the mid-2000s gap in their collection.
