The Spitfire Collection
The Spitfire Collection is a compilation from the thrash metal band Testament, released on 27 February 2007 by Spitfire Records. It gathers tracks from the group's years on that label, drawing on Demonic, The Gathering, First Strike Still Deadly, Live at the Fillmore and Live in London. Demonic and Live at the Fillmore were Spitfire reissues rather than original releases for the label.
What makes it interesting is the sheer number of players involved. Five drummers appear across the tracks: Louie Clemente, Jon Dette, Gene Hoglan, Dave Lombardo and John Tempesta. There are three bassists and four guitarists, with Eric Peterson the one constant on every track alongside Chuck Billy on vocals. Steve Souza guests on the final two tracks from First Strike Still Deadly.
