Dirty Diamonds
Dirty Diamonds is Alice Cooper's seventeenth solo album and his twenty-fourth studio album overall, released on 4 July 2005 on Spitfire Records. It is a straight-ahead rock and hard rock record, and it follows The Eyes of Alice Cooper from 2003 in a run that had seen him working in a leaner, more guitar-driven style.
The album gave him a welcome lift on the American charts. It reached number 169 on the Billboard 200 and number 17 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. That made it his highest-charting album since The Last Temptation, eleven years earlier. It is worth a listen if you want to hear Cooper in the mid-2000s, still turning out hard rock records and finding a fresh audience for them. Along Came a Spider followed in 2008.
