Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here Symphonic
This is a rather unexpected entry in the Alice Cooper catalogue: a symphonic reworking of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, released on 5 February 2016 by Decca Classics. Rock and classical sit side by side here, with the album's material recast for an orchestral setting.
It arrived between Welcome 2 My Nightmare in 2011 and Paranormal in 2017, so it stands apart from the shock-rock theatrics Cooper is best known for. If you enjoy hearing a familiar record from another angle, and want to know what a master of the macabre makes of Floyd's material, it's an intriguing detour worth a listen.
