Welcome 2 My Nightmare
Welcome 2 My Nightmare is Alice Cooper's sequel to his 1975 album Welcome to My Nightmare, released on 13 September 2011. The idea came from producer Bob Ezrin, who suggested revisiting the concept some years after the original's thirtieth anniversary. Cooper had planned a follow-up to Along Came a Spider, but switched course once Ezrin made clear he wasn't keen on that. Cooper described it as another nightmare, and an even worse one than the last.
It's a hard rock and heavy metal record, and Cooper brought back previous members of the Alice Cooper band for it. It reached No. 22 on the Billboard 200, his highest US placing since Trash in 1989, so it makes a neat companion to that late-eighties peak. If you love the theatrical side of Cooper's catalogue, this is where he returns to it.
