How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today is the third studio album by Suicidal Tendencies, the American crossover thrash band. It followed Join the Army from 1987 and came out in 1988, with a US release date of 13 September. It was their first record for Epic, a move up to a major label for a band that had built its name on hardcore speed.

It also marks a change in personnel. Mike Clark played guitar on a Suicidal album for the first time, and Bob Heathcote was on bass, his only record with the band before Robert Trujillo took over in 1989. The album leans further into heavy metal and thrash than the band's earlier work, and Revolver counts it as an essential release in the genre. For anyone tracing how crossover thrash grew up, it is a key stop.
