Prime Cuts
Prime Cuts is a compilation from the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released on Epic on 3 June 1997. It gathers material from the band's years on the label, and it arrived after a run of albums that took in Lights… Camera… Revolution (1990), The Art of Rebellion (1992), Still Cyco After All These Years (1993) and Suicidal for Life (1994).
For anyone coming to the band later, it sits neatly between the early hardcore rush of their 1983 debut and the records that followed at the turn of the millennium, Freedumb in 1999 and Free Your Soul... and Save My Mind in 2000. It is a handy way to hear the skate punk side of their sound in one sitting, and a good starting point before heading back to the full albums.
