Train Does Led Zeppelin Ⅱ
Train Does Led Zeppelin II is the ninth studio album by the American rock band Train, released on 3 June 2016 through Crush Music. As the title makes plain, it takes on Led Zeppelin's second album from start to finish, covering the whole record rather than picking out a few favourites. It came out digitally, on compact disc and on vinyl, and the band also performed the material in concert.
It sits between the seasonal Christmas In Tahoe from 2015 and a girl a bottle a boat in 2017, a left turn in a catalogue better known for original songs such as those on Drops of Jupiter. What makes it worth a listen is the nerve of it: a band from a very different corner of rock tackling a classic hard rock album in full. All profits went to Family House, a San Francisco-based charity.
