One and a Half

Popularity16.0

One and a Half is a short EP from Train, released on 21 October 1999. It came out between the San Francisco band's self-titled debut in 1996 and the breakthrough of Drops of Jupiter in 2001, so it catches the group in the stretch before they became a household name.

By then Train had already found an audience with "Meet Virginia", the hit from that first album. The line-up was still the original one, with Pat Monahan on lead vocals alongside Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford, Scott Underwood and Charlie Colin. For anyone who came to the band through "Drops of Jupiter" or "Hey, Soul Sister", it offers a look at their rock-leaning early days.
