The Nightmare Returns
The Nightmare Returns is a live concert video from Alice Cooper, released in 1987 by MCA Home Video. It was filmed in Detroit, Michigan, on Halloween 1986, a fitting date for the opening night of the tour that gave the film its name. That run of shows supported Constrictor, the album Cooper put out in 1986, so the video catches him in the middle of a return to the stage with fresh material.
It first appeared on VHS and Betamax before reaching DVD in 2006. If you only know Cooper from the records, it is a good way to see the theatrical side of his act, and footage from the night was used for the music video for "Teenage Frankenstein". It sits between Constrictor and Raise Your Fist and Yell, which followed in 1987.
