Mascara & Monsters: The Best of Alice Cooper is a compilation released by Rhino on 16 January 2001, in the United States only. It gathers material from Cooper's solo career alongside songs from the days when Alice Cooper was a full band. The cover shows Cooper in the mid-1970s peering at his mascara-eyed, monstrous alter ego, which suits the title neatly.

Outside America, the equivalent release was The Definitive Alice Cooper, with a slightly different track listing and different packaging, though the two share the same back cover, tray insert and disc image. As with the 1974 Greatest Hits collection, nothing here comes from Pretties for You or Easy Action, so the story starts after those first two records. It makes a handy way into a long career, from the band years through to the solo albums that followed Welcome to My Nightmare.
