Score: 20th Anniversary World Tour
Score is Dream Theater's fifth live album, recorded at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on 1 April 2006. The show closed their 20th anniversary tour, billed as "A Very Special Evening with Dream Theater". The title plays on two meanings: a score is twenty, and it is also the conductor's score pictured on the sleeve. It came out in August 2006 on Rhino, and it presents the whole setlist, encore included.
The second half of the night is the draw. The band are joined by a full symphonic orchestra, called The Octavarium Orchestra and conducted by Jamshied Sharifi, which gives their progressive metal a broader canvas. There are also two songs that had never been released: "Another Won", written back when the band were known as Majesty, and "Raise the Knife", recorded for Falling Into Infinity but left off it. Both make this a worthwhile stop for anyone following the band's long history.
