Chaos in Motion 2007–2008
Chaos in Motion 2007–2008 is Dream Theater's sixth video album, a live document of the Chaos in Motion Tour that supported their ninth studio album, Systematic Chaos. It came out on 30 September 2008 on Roadrunner Records, and gathers performances from a tour that ran from 3 June 2007 to 4 June 2008.
The tour took in 115 shows across 35 countries, so this is a record of a band deep into a long stretch on the road. It was released as a 2-disc set and as a 5-disc special edition with two DVDs and three CDs, limited to 5,000 copies. It also holds a place in the band's history as the last official live release featuring founding drummer Mike Portnoy, who left in September 2010. For fans of their progressive metal, it captures that line-up on stage.
