Doggerel
Doggerel is the eighth studio album by American alternative rock band Pixies, released on 30 September 2022 through Infectious Music and BMG Rights Management. Tom Dalgety produced it, and three singles led the way: "There's a Moon On", "Vault of Heaven" and "Dregs of the Wine".
It belongs to the band's later chapter, following Indie Cindy, Head Carrier and Beneath the Eyrie, and it came before The Night the Zombies Came in 2024. It is also the last Pixies album to feature bassist and backing vocalist Paz Lenchantin, who left in March 2024 after a long run of touring behind the record. For anyone who has followed the band beyond their early run of albums, it is a useful marker of where they stood in the early 2020s, working in alternative and indie rock territory.
