Indie Cindy
Indie Cindy is the fifth studio album by the Pixies, released on 19 April 2014. It was their first full-length record since Trompe le Monde in 1991, and the first without bassist Kim Deal. Simon "Ding" Archer, formerly of the British post-punk band The Fall, played bass in her place.
The album gathers every track from the band's three EPs of 2013 and 2014, recorded in 2012 with Gil Norton, the producer behind Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde. That reunion in the studio gives it a link to their earlier work. Limited vinyl copies appeared on Record Store Day, pressed at 45 rpm and shipped with a 7" single of "Women of War". A deluxe edition added a live CD and a 40-page hardback book, one for fans who like to dig into the story.
