EP
Mentally Murdered
Mentally Murdered is an EP by the English grindcore band Napalm Death, released on 29 August 1989 through Earache Records. It arrived between From Enslavement to Obliteration and Harmony Corruption, and it shows the band moving further towards death metal than they had on the album before it.
It also marks the last studio recording with Bill Steer and Lee Dorrian, who left the band at the same time, citing musical and personality differences. That makes it a record of a line-up at a turning point. The songs were later added to the Harmony Corruption CD and appeared on the Death by Manipulation compilation, so they are easy to find today, but the EP is worth hearing in its own right as the bridge between two distinct phases of the band.
