Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, released on 25 June 1976 through Warner Bros. Records, is Alice Cooper's second solo album and ninth studio album overall. It picks up the story of Steven from Welcome to My Nightmare, and Cooper wrote it with guitarist Dick Wagner and producer Bob Ezrin, the team behind that record.

The album leans into the rock ballad style that worked so well for "Only Women Bleed", the hit from his first solo effort. Its most revealing track is "I Never Cry", which Cooper described as "an alcoholic confession". It dealt with his drinking, a problem that would send him into rehab a year later and shadow his music right through to 1983's DaDa. Hard rock theatrics sit alongside that more personal side, which makes it a useful record for hearing where Cooper was heading.
