Album
Medicine at Midnight
Medicine at Midnight is the tenth studio album by Foo Fighters, released on 5 February 2021 through Roswell and RCA. It had been due out in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed it back. Greg Kurstin produced it with the band, and together they nudged the group's familiar rock sound towards dance-rock and pop, a gentle change of direction rather than a break with the past.
It came between Concrete and Gold and Hail Satin, and it is the last Foo Fighters studio album to feature drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died the following year. Five singles followed, starting with "Shame Shame" and "No Son of Mine" and ending with "Love Dies Young". Reviews were generally positive, and the record won three Grammys: Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song for "Waiting on a War", and Best Rock Performance for "Making a Fire".
