Album
Mechanize
Mechanize is the seventh studio album by American industrial metal band Fear Factory, released on 5 February 2010 in Germany, with a US release following on 9 February. It came out on AFM Records and follows Transgression from 2005 in the band's run of records.
It marks the return of founding guitarist Dino Cazares, who rejoined after he and vocalist Burton C. Bell reconciled in April 2009. He had not played on a Fear Factory album since Digimortal in 2001. Gene Hoglan sits behind the kit, and this is his only record with the band. Rhys Fulber, absent since Archetype, returned as producer. Reviews were mostly positive, with critics singling out its aggressive, heavy sound. It sold 10,000 copies in its first week.
