Remanufacture (Cloning Technology)
Remanufacture (Cloning Technology) is Fear Factory's first remix album, released in May 1997 on Roadrunner Records. It reworks tracks from Demanufacture, the American industrial metal band's second studio album, and sits between that record and its follow-up, Obsolete. The material leans further into the electronic and industrial side of the band's sound than the original songs did.
It is a good companion piece for anyone who already knows Demanufacture and wants to hear it pulled apart and rebuilt. The reworked tracks also found a second life in games: "Genetic Blueprint" and "21st Century Jesus" appear in Test Drive 5 on PC and PlayStation, while the title track served as the theme for the PC game Messiah and later turned up in the PSP title Infected.
