3 Doors Down
3 Doors Down is the fourth studio album from the American rock band, released on 20 May 2008 through Universal Republic Records. It follows The Better Life, Away From the Sun and Seventeen Days, and it is the first record to feature drummer Greg Upchurch, formerly of Puddle of Mudd, who joined the band in 2005. The sound sits in post-grunge and alternative rock, with touches of pop rock and a harder, alternative metal edge.
The singles tell much of the story. "Citizen/Soldier", released in November 2007, was a tribute to the National Guard and reached number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100. "It's Not My Time" followed in February 2008 and climbed to number 17. The album went to number one on the Billboard 200, selling 154,000 copies in its first week, and it was certified Platinum by the RIAA in December 2024.
