Album
Genexus
Genexus is the ninth studio album by American industrial metal band Fear Factory, released on 7 August 2015. It followed Mechanize and The Industrialist as the third record since guitarist Dino Cazares returned to the fold in 2009, and it introduced drummer Mike Heller to the line-up. It was also the band's first release through Nuclear Blast.
For anyone following the band's story, this is a record with a place in the timeline. It is the second-to-last album to feature vocalist Burton C. Bell, who left in 2020; his final vocals appear on Aggression Continuum, recorded in 2017 but held back until 2021. Critics received Genexus warmly. Lyric videos for "Soul Hacker" and "Protomech" preceded it, and "Dielectric" got a full video on release day, so those are good places to start.
