The Best of Fear Factory
The Best of Fear Factory is a compilation from the American industrial metal band, put together by Roadrunner Records and released in September 2006. It is the band's third compilation, and it draws only on their time with that label. Material from Archetype and Transgression is left out, as are songs from Concrete and the band's other compilation, live and remix albums.
The band had no part in it. By then they were signed to Liquid 8 Records, so it is unlikely the collection had their blessing. It appeared alongside similar best-of sets for Sepultura, Type O Negative and Ill Niño. For anyone wanting a label-era overview of Fear Factory's industrial metal, it offers a handy way in, though the studio albums remain the fuller story.
