And I Feel Fine… The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982–1987
And I Feel Fine… The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982–1987 gathers R.E.M.'s early work for I.R.S. Records, with every track remastered. It came out on 11 September 2006 through Capitol Records. The standard disc has 21 tracks, running from the Chronic Town EP in 1982 to Document in 1987, and includes every I.R.S. single apart from "Wendell Gee" and "Superman".
The set also came in a two-disc edition, with a bonus disc of rarities, unreleased songs and alternate mixes. "Superman" turns up there, along with outtake versions of "Bad Day" and "All the Right Friends". "Theme from Two Steps Onward" and "Mystery to Me", both left over from the Lifes Rich Pageant sessions, had never been released in any form. A third edition adds the When the Light Is Mine DVD. It's a handy way into the band's college rock beginnings, before their move to Warner Bros.
